A house made for celebrations, at the foot of Corcovado

Les Jardins de Rio is a 1,400 sqm modernist house set in 5,000 sqm of tropical garden in Cosme Velho, one of Rio de Janeiro's quietest residential neighbourhoods — next to the Roberto Marinho Foundation, a few minutes from Laranjeiras, the Corcovado train station and the beaches of the Zona Sul. Designed in the 1970s by Roberto Bastos Cruz, a collaborator of Oscar Niemeyer, and fully restored in 2013, it offers something rare in the city: a private venue where the whole event, from the ceremony to the last dance, unfolds outdoors under the trees and the open arms of the Christ.

Every space can be combined. The 99 sqm main lounge, crowned by an 8-metre glass ceiling, seats up to 100 guests for dinner; the panoramic rooftop hosts sunset ceremonies for 80, with Guanabara Bay as a backdrop; the Janus room welcomes 40 seated guests for a workshop or an intimate wedding; and the 650 sqm lawn opens to 500 people for concerts, festivals and open-air receptions. The pool, its equipped covered bar and the pool house carry the party into the night, with a covered dining room should the rain invite itself.

The house is privatized from noon, and the eight suites let your closest guests stay on site. Our team coordinates everything the day requires — catering, open bar, DJ or live band, decoration, security and valet parking — with a single contact, from the first site visit to the last guest.
